ITERI - Continuous Improvement for People and Organizations

2011 YEP Summer Camp

Parents:  Is your teenager driving you CRAZY??  Do conversations end with your teen storming off to their room refusing to talk?  Do you hear a lot of “You just don’t get it!”

Teens:  Are you trying to figure out how to fit into this world?  Do you ever wonder why it can be hard to communicate with your parents, siblings and friends?  Are you tired of trying to get your parents to understand what you are trying to say?

YEP is pleased to present our 2011 Day Camp for Teens: "Transitioning Through the Teenage Years:  Moving from Me to We"

At the end of this camp experience, teens will be able to better understand themselves and how they fit into their various communities (family, friends, and regional community).

Kids will learn how to:

  • Make better choices regarding peer pressure, academics, and achieving personal potential.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and peers.
  • Develop responsibility for self and others.

Overview of the 4-day program:

Day 1:  Getting to know yourself and others in your life

Day 2:  Communicating with your peeps

Day 3:  Responsibility to your peeps and the environment you live in

Day 4:  Developing support systems to support you through transitions

Tilly Foster Farm offers a unique setting with opportunities for teens to meet and greet the various unique farm animals, see motor and transportation "technology" from another age - like antique motors and tractors, and we will have ample time outdoors for frisbee toss, catch and other outside adventures.

The cost of the 4 day camp is $400, however, if you register before May 15, you save 10% and pay only $360.

**  For tho se parents who need to get to work early, and/or can't be there for a 3:45 pickup, additional supervised activity hours are available for a nominal cost.
